Liturgy & Community (LC)

LC5 Living and Praying the Word of God (2 evenings or 1 full day)

There has been a vast explosion in the use of sacred scripture in parish life, from the whole community on a Sunday to individual reflection on the Word, enabling people to come to know, believe in and follow Christ! CCR offer pick n’ mix menu
of retreats/workshops for people wishing to grow in their openness to engaging with the Word of God. This would be suitable ‘in service’ training workshop or study day for pastoral parish councils, liturgical ministers (including Children’s liturgists), teachers in Catholic schools, parish groups of all sorts, and
larger gatherings
.

For many this ‘breaking open’ of the Word is a new experience and can be uncomfortable - opening our lives as individuals and as communities to the light of the Word of God. However, again and again, experience proves that engaging with the Word offers new insights to the task in hand - life!

LC6 Psalms for Today (2 evening sessions or a full retreat/study day)

More parishes are offering the Prayer of the Church, morning and/or evening
as part of parish life. Many lay people are praying this in their own homes or work places. CCR offer a number of retreat/workshops learning to pray the psalms,
using the prayer of the church as the focus.
